OUR EXPERIENCE
The way we experience reality has multitudes of feeling. We see suspension as a way to process emotions at our own pace. Allowing ourselves to exist in ones body can be a hard practice taking consideration that the society we live in sees weakness in vulnerability - We praise the opposite. We see softness as strength and vulnerability as courage. By allowing yourself to be emotionally naked, to give in to pain, to allow the moment to take over, can be an incredible experience. Because it was incredible to us, we wanna be able to offer it to anyone that is curious about it.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
You can expect a safe space and a lot of care. More than that, it is very hard to predict. Every single person experiences suspension differently, so we cannot say if you will laugh or cry, possibly both.
Our best advice is to welcome the space with an open heart and mind and not expect much besides having an experience. Anything can happen and there is absolutely no expectations being reached with your suspension. Allow the moment to naturally flow and let us hold space for you.
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A SUSPENSION?
The best way to be ready is to try to connect with your body prior, have good nights of sleep, eat healthy and hold space for yourself. Leave alcohol and substances aside for a few days, and keep an open mind.
When the day of the suspension comes, wear comfortable clothing, bring sugary snacks and water and just let yourself enjoy.
AFTERCARE
Post suspension is an important time to self care as well. We advise to have a full day of rest after your suspension day. You body will process the trauma that happened to it and your mind will process the emotions and release connected to it.
It´s very common for some air to be trapped underneath the wounds, so don´t worry, it will come out on its own. Soreness and muscle pain can also happen. We will guide you through aftercare, and we will be open for questions anytime.
